Video report on coalition government's plans for schools
03 Jun 2010
Starting this week, I will be doing a weekly video report on the latest developments in schools policy for Teachers TV.
In the first programme, I provide an overview of the first fortnight of the new government, covering the spending cuts, the abolition of quangos and the legislation in the Queens Speech.
I also look at those plans of the last Labour government which have now been abandoned.
I talk to John Dunford, Chris Keates, and a primary head teacher in Hackney who is considering going for academy status.

In next week's film I'll be taking a more detailed look at the plans to create many more academies and the fast-track route being offered to "outstanding" schools.
