University students in brilliant Aids Day stunt
14 Dec 2009
A group of Kingston University graphics design students came up with an original and eye-catching idea for raising awareness - and money - for World Aids Day.
They formed the '8 Second Band' to draw attention the fact that someone in the world is infected with HIV every 8 seconds.
The band - in snazzy, American marching-band uniforms - matched around central London and raised around £1,000.
Being good graphic design students they not only looked stylish but also shot and edited a great video. Watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6jh656NRwQ It's great.
P.S. I am biased as my younger daughter was one of the marchers.
