Oxford Education Debate - reinventing the teaching profession

 I'll be chairing the second Oxford Education Debate at Oxford Brookes University this afternoon.

It's a joint venture between the National Education Trust and the university's Westminster Institute of Education. 

Our main speaker is Dr Chris Yapp who is going to talk about 'reinventing the teaching profession'.

In particular, he will call for a new - more personalised -  approach to teaching and will advocate reforming the General Teaching Council into a General Learning Council. 

The respondents are Mike Reading, Principal of The Oxford Academy and Heidi Dennison, Assistant Head at the Frank Wise School, Banbury.
