Fringe event at Labour
28 Sep 2009
If you're anywhere near Brighton on Tuesday do come along to the fringe event that I'm chairing on 'Education and Economic Recovery'. We're taking this around all the main party conferences. The speakers are: Greg Watson, Cambridge Assessment & OCR exam board; Pat Bacon, Association of Colleges; John Dunford, ASCL; and Ian Wright MP, minister for 14-19 and apprenticeships.
I expect much of the discussion will be on diplomas and on the raising of the education leaving age.
The fringe event starts at 1300 at the Old Ship, just along from the conference venue (and outside the security cordon), on the seafront in Brighton. Free entry.
