Superb new cycle path
05 Jul 2009
Please excuse a diversion from education issues...but I've just cycled some of the new Herepath in the Blackdown Hills in Somerset. It's a great cycleway/walking route all around Castle Neroche and Staple Hill, with superb views across the most beaitiful countryside in England (and neighbouring the Bakers' ancestral home in Dommet/Buckland St Mary ...nothing grand they were agricultural labourers and small yeoman farmers).
Big congratulations to the Neroche Scheme for creating it. To find out more: http://www.nerochescheme.org/index.php
Managed 2.5 hours cycling today (up some pretty steep hills), so hoping I'm on target for my planned London to Devon bike ride in August.
